How Many Wedding Invitations You Can Create with an A4 Sheet

The number of wedding invitations you can create from an A4 sheet of paper depends on the size of your wedding invitation. Possible wedding invitation sizes are: DL, square, C6, A5 and A4.  Of course you can have any size you would like, however these are the more popular choices for wedding invitations.

DL
How many DL size wedding invitations can I create from an A4 sheet?

The number depends on whether you would like a flat or folding wedding invitation.  If you prefer flat, you can create 3 DL size wedding invitations per A4 sheet of paper.  To achieve this, cut your backing paper or board at 9.9cm measurements.

There are two options if you would like to create a folding DL wedding invitation:  one fold or bi-bold, either way, you can only create one DL wedding invitation per A4 sheet.

If you would like one fold:
Cut your A4 sheet in the landscape position at 19.8cm and fold (paper only) or score (board) at 9.9cm.

If you would like a bi-bold:
Fold (paper only) or score and fold (board) in the landscape position at approximately 9.9cm and 19.8cm.  You will need to make allowances in your measurements for folding, so the paper or board doesn't bow.  These measurements can be altered to create more interesting fold patterns in your wedding invitation, experiment with plain copy paper first!

How many square wedding invitations can I create from an A4 sheet?

The number depends on whether you would like a flat or folding square wedding invitation.

There are a number of square wedding invitation measurement options.  The most popular is 14.8cm square and is the maximum measurement if wanting to create two flat wedding invitations per A4 sheet or one folding wedding invitation per A4 sheet. 

If wanting to create a flat wedding invitation, cut the paper/board at the desired measurement (remembering that 14.8cm is the maximum measurement), in the landscape, then portrait position – same measurement on both occasions. 

If wanting to create a folding wedding invitation, trim the paper/board in the portrait position at the desired measurement (remembering that 14.8cm is the maximum measurement).  Turn the sheet to the landscape position and fold (paper) or score (board) at the centre line.  You may need to trim the excess from your wedding invitation.

Remember to source your envelope before deciding on the dimensions of your square wedding invitation.

How many C6 wedding invitations can I create from an A4 sheet?

You can create four flat wedding invitations or two folding wedding invitations from an A4 sheet of paper.  The dimensions are outlined below.

To create four flat C6 wedding invitations cut your paper or board in the landscape position first at

14.8cm and then in the portrait position at 10.5cm.  This will leave you with four flat wedding invitations.

To create two folding C6 wedding invitations, cut your paper or board in the landscape position first at 14.8cm.  Fold (paper) or score (board) in the portrait position at 10.5cm.  This will give you two wedding invitations.

How many A5 wedding invitations can I create from an A4 sheet?

You can create two flat A5 wedding invitations per A4 sheet or one folding A5 wedding invitation per A4 sheet.  The measurements are outlined below:

To create two flat A5 wedding invitations, cut your paper or board in the landscape position at 14.8cm.  If you would like to create one A5 wedding invitation, fold (paper) or score and fold (board) in the landscape position at 14.8cm.
